I'm on the Board of the National Center for Academic Transformation, and am pleased to spread the word about NCAT's recently announced Redesign Alliance. The Redesign Alliance is open to institutions and other organizations interested in sharing successful course redesign strategies for measurably improving learning outcomes while reducing per-credit direct instructional costs in "common" courses -- high-enrollment courses taught in common with most other institutions. With funding from FIPSE to support the Alliance, NCAT has also announced the Redesign Scholars Program, Colleagues Committed to Redesign (C2R), and the Alliance's first Annual Conference.
